
Thiruvananthapuram, May 22, 2025 – Kerala’s Minister for General Education, V. Sivankutty, officially announced the 2025 Plus Two (Class 12) Higher Secondary Examination results on Thursday. The overall pass percentage stands at 77.81%, registering a slight dip of 0.88% compared to last year’s results.
Over 4.4 Lakh Students Appeared for the Exams
A total of 4.44 lakh students had registered for the Plus Two examinations, which were held across Kerala in March 2025. The exams were conducted for both the Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary streams under strict monitoring and standardized procedures.

SSLC 2025 Results: A Strong Performance in Class 10
Earlier this month, on May 9, 2025, the SSLC (Class 10) exam results were released with an impressive pass percentage of 99.5%. Out of 4,24,583 students, a record 61,449 students secured A+ grades in all subjects.
Kannur district topped the SSLC results in terms of overall pass percentage, showcasing the region’s academic consistency.
Last year, the SSLC pass rate was even higher at 99.69%, showing Kerala’s continued emphasis on foundational education excellence.
Minister Urges Students to Focus on Skill Development
While announcing the results, Minister Sivankutty commended the efforts of students, teachers, and parents during the academic year. He also encouraged students to focus on skill development and higher education opportunities, highlighting the role of Kerala’s education reforms in improving academic outcomes and reducing dropout rates.
What Comes Next for Class 12 Students?
With results now declared, students can move forward with college admissions, competitive exam preparations, or vocational training. The Department of Higher Education is expected to release the admission schedule for degree courses soon.
Additionally, students dissatisfied with their marks can apply for revaluation or scrutiny through the official HSE portal.
