Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi on January 23 to declare the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose as a national holiday. It also wrote that to know what happened to Netaji, take decisive steps and keep it among the people.

In her letter, CM Mamta wrote, “As you are aware that on January 23, 2022, 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose will be celebrated. One of the greatest sons of Bengal, Netaji is a national hero. They are the icons of India’s freedom struggle against the British rule. They are role models for all generations. Under his leadership, thousands of soldiers of the Indian National Army sacrificed for the motherland. “

Mamta Banerjee wrote that Netaji’s birthday is celebrated all over the country with full respect every year. We have been demanding from the government for a long time that Netaji’s birthday should be declared a national holiday but no decision has been taken on it yet.

The Chief Minister said in his letter that we repeat our demand again to give true respect to the National Hero. Along with this, he wrote to PM Modi that you will also be familiar with the mysterious disappearance of Netaji. The people of the country, especially West Bengal, have the right to know its truth. The West Bengal government has already made many files related to Netaji public.

Mamta Banerjee said that in the past many times we have requested the central government on several occasions to take any necessary steps in this matter. We once again demand the government to take necessary steps to find out what happened to Netaji. Netaji has a special place in our hearts.
